Chart Points
Chart points are market peaks and troughs on a price chart which are connected to form a line. Lines formed of three or more chart points show support and resistance levels. Market movements above or below support and resistance levels indicate that a substantial additional move is likely. The phrase chart point is sometimes used synonymously with support and resistance. A significant peak or trough is by definition an area of support or resistance.
