Elliott Wave Theory

A theory, which holds that markets follow repetitive patterns or cycles, with each one made up of a five-wave movement in the direction of the main up or down trend followed by a three-wave corrective move. No matter how long each cycle takes to form, from years to hours, the eight wave pattern will be constant. Developed by Ralph Nelson Elliott.
