ARPU

Average revenue per user. A measure used by telephone and media companies for the income they receive from each customer. It is a key indicator of the source of revenue and margin growth. Growth in ARPU is likely to be more profitable than increasing the number of customers; the increases in costs are likely to be less than those incurred by raising the number of customers. ARPU growth is a measure of a company's success in selling additional services to individual customers.
